Profitable February for Automobiles Companies

Auto Sales – In the month of February, Car sales has been increased a lot, let see which car company is on the top

February proves to be a profitable month for the Car companies. High increase has seen in the sale of various top car companies. Recent economic data shows high increase in the auto sales and indicates recovery in the economy. On the other hand the news of increase in interest rates in coming months can also affect the car companies negatively, even two top banks SBI and PNB has shown some increase in MCLR due to which car loans will be costlier.

Higher sale is seen mostly in passenger vehicles of top companies in the month of February. Where we have seen increase in the sale of Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata Motors, Mahindra, Toyota and Ford at the same time Honda has shown a fall in its sale.

Tata motors sales has increased by 45%

Tata Motors sold 17,771 units and shown 45% increased sales in passenger vehicle segment and in the last year 12,272 units had sold by Tata motors. Strong growth has seen due to reaction received by Tata Tiago, Tigor, Zest in the car segment. Apart from that Tata’s utility vehicle segment’s Nexon ad Hexa has also given a huge growth.

If we talk about commercial vehicle segment of Tata then company has increased its sale by 36% with sale of 41,222 units.

Maruti Suzuki sale increased by 15% in 2018

Country’s leading car maker Maruti Suzuki sold out 149,824 vehicles making 15% of profit. Even last year in the same period the figures were 137,900 units. Maruti Alto, Wagonr has shown 38.7% increase in its sale.

If we talk about Maruti’s Compact segment then profit of 38.7% comes from Swift, Ritz, Celerio, Desire, Baleno and 16.8% fall in the sale of Ciaz.

Hyundai’s sale increased by 5.1% this February

Hyundai Motor India Limited has shown increase of 5.1% in its sale with units of 55,422. Last year in the same period the sale was of 52734 units.

Export has increased by 4.9% with the export of 10917 units.

Fall in the sale of Honda by 18%

Honda’s domestic cars have shown fall of 18% in is sale. Company sold 11,650 units in 2018 whereas in 2017 sale was of 14,249 units. Highest sale is of City Sedan and WR-V in February 2018. On the other hand there was a fall in the sale of Brio, BR-V, Amaze and CR-V.
